Day 1: Depart the UK Close

Fly from UK to Amman.

Day 2: Morning Amman City Tour & Afternoon Visit Roman City of Jerash Close

Arrive Amman early in the morning. Meeting and assistance on arrival by the Novaturient’s representative, and then transferred to the Grand Millennium Hotel for 2 nights stay. (Room booked for immediate occupancy). After breakfast enjoy a sightseeing tour of Amman. Explore the Citadel of Philadelphia (ancient Amman), the amphitheater, archeological museum and take a walking tour in the old part of Amman. Afternoon drive north of Amman to visit one of the Roman Empire Decapolis cities, Jerash, one of the best-preserved Roman cities in the world. The Greco-Roman site is superb, note the blending of western architecture with the inspiration of the east.

Day 3: Drive to Dead Sea (approx 1 ½ hour drive time), Enroute visit The jordan valley Close

After breakfast drive to the Jordan Valley – ‘Bethany Beyond the Jordan’, the supremely spiritual site where Jesus was baptized by John the Baptist, and experience the sacred place where the Holy Spirit came to Christ. View recently discovered excavation work of a 1stC. AD settlement with plastered pools and water systems. It is almost certain these were used for baptism. Also found were a 5th to 6th C. AD late Byzantine settlement with Churches and a Monastery. Stay at The Movenpick Dead Sea Resort for 2 nights.

Day 4: Dead Sea Close

Day at leisure on the shores of the Dead Sea. The Dead Sea has been famed throughout history for its special healing properties due to the high mineral content of the water. The unusually high salinity of the water allows you to float on the surface.

Day 5: Drive to Petra (approx 2 ½ hour drive time), Enroute visit Mount Nebo, Madaba & Kerak Close

After breakfast follow in the footsteps of ancient pathways. Start at Mount Nebo, with its breathtaking views. From here Moses last looked upon the Holy Land. A small church, which became an early Christian pilgrimage centre, was built in the 4th C. to commemorate the end of Moses’ life. Next visit Madaba, City of Mosaics. Stop at the Greek Orthodox Church which houses the famed 6th C. map of the Holy Land, and visit the Madaba Archaeological Park to understand a little more about the city’s fascinating past. Kerak is the next stop explore one of the largest Crusader castles in the Middle East. Wander this mysterious fort and feel, whispering in the air, secrets of its turbulent past. On arrival in Petra, stay at The Movenpick Petra Resort for 2 nights.

Day 6: Petra Close

After breakfast take a fascinating guided tour of Petra (The guide is available for 2 hours). Supposedly built by magic, even the Romans had difficulty in capturing it until 106AD. Visits will include Petra’s iconic ruin… The Treasury (Al-Khazneh) hewn into the massive sandstone cliff, the Theatre and the Petra Pool and Gardens. Rest of the day free to explore the site on your own.

Day 7: Drive to Aqaba (approx 2 hour drive time), En-route visit Little Petra Close

After breakfast depart to Little Petra. This site is only a few kilometers from Petra; hidden away in the centre of a mountain. There are a number of notable tombs, with many remarkably well preserved. Some still have their internal shelving intact: the final resting place for the dead. Carry on to Aqaba on the shores of the Red Sea. Stay at The Movenpick Aqaba Resort and Residence for 3 nights.

Day 8: Aqaba Close

At leisure to indulge in water sports- diving, scuba diving, snorkeling, wind surfing etc. Or simply relax!

Day 9: Aqaba Close

At leisure to indulge in water sports- diving, scuba diving, snorkeling, wind surfing etc. Or simply relax!

Day 10: Depart Aqaba Close

Transfer to the airport to board your return flight home via Amman.
