Arrive Kathmandu. Meeting and assistance on arrival by our representative and transfer to Hotel Himalaya for 2 nights stay.
Morning visit the incredible Swayambhunath Stupa. The ancient Buddhist site is filled with deep symbolism and meaning for devotees. Then visit Kathmandu Durbar Square – including the museums and Royal residence. The whole area virtually is an open-air museum and listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Particularly note the superb craftsmanship in wood and metal carvings and artefacts. The Living Goddess lives nearby. Afternoon sightseeing of Bodhnath – the largest stupa in the Tibetan Buddhist culture. Next visit Pashupatinath Temple – the Holiest shrine for Hindus dedicated to Lord Shiva. It’s also a poignant site as used for Hindu cremation.
Fly to Bharatpur and drive to Chitwan National Park. Nepal’s famous National Park covers an area of 360 square miles and is home to a variety of rare wildlife species including Bengal tigers and leopards. Check in at the Himalayan Wildlife Sanctuary for 2 nights. Late afternoon jungle experience. Look out for sloth bears, one horned rhino and elephants.
Experience the real wilderness in the deep jungle accompanied by an experienced guide. Search for the majestic Royal Bengal tiger. Watch out for wild boar, bear and bison. Explore local tribal life at a Tharu village, where you’ll be welcomed inside their traditional mud houses and treated a valued guest. At the end of the day totally relax – unwinding by a large campfire, watching the mesmerizing Tharu stick dance and listening to their soothing folk songs.
Fly to Pokhara – also known as the City of Paradise, and the main starting point to many of the trek routes to the Annapurna range. Transfer to Hotel Pokhara Grande for 2 nights stay. Afternoon visit the The Old Bazar, Devi`s Fall – a lovely place where the stream disappears underground, Gupteswor Cave and the Seti gorge.
Morning sunrise excursion to Sarangkot, to watch the dawns rays caress the mighty mountain peaks, turning the snow shades of pinks and gold! The town is now a world class paragliding site! Afternoon visit the lovely Peace Stupa – built as a symbol for World Peace the by Japanese monk Morioka Sonin in 1947. From here there’s a fabulous panoramic view of the Annapurna Ranges, Pokhara City and Lake Phewa. After a short boating trip on Lake Phewa visit Barahi Temple on the way back to the hotel.
Morning fly to Kathmandu and drive to Dhulikhel. Stay at The Dhulikhel Mountain Resort for 2 nights.
Delightful trek around the area today to visit local villages, a Temple and Monastery. Explore a traditional village to see the way of life of the people. Later a short visit of Panauti- a historic Nepalese city steeped in culture and tradition.
After breakfast drive to Kathmandu, enroute visit Bhaktapur, called the City of Devotees, and listed as a World Heritage site by UNESCO for the richness of its culture and stunning wood, metal and stone artworks. Check in at the Hotel Himalaya for overnight stay. In the evening relax at an authentic Nepali Dinner with a culture show at a local restaurant.
Transfer to the airport to board your return flight back home.
